The Manual You Were Never Handed.

Sleep better Sunday night. Lead better Monday morning. Master the 14 conversations that make or break new supervisors, before they make or break you.

Field-tested in oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, engineering, and the trades. Self-paced with live problem solving sessions.

Your crew gets a better shift. Your family gets a better evening.

Standard price $995. No upsells.

The work that earned you the promotion isn't the work you're being paid to do anymore. Nobody handed you a manual. The old peers don't quite know how to act around you. The boss wants results. Your team wants answers. And somewhere in there, you're supposed to figure out how to lead.

This is normal. It's also fixable.

When new supervisors are left to figure it out alone, the cost shows up fast

  • Decisions pile up

Crews wait instead of taking ownership

  • Feedback gets avoided

Small issues become patterns. Safety concerns and performance gaps get buried

  • Good people burn out

Supervisors stay stuck doing the work instead of leading it

This course is built for supervisors who:

  • Were promoted because they were excellent at the work

  • Now lead former peers or direct reports

  • Are expected to manage performance, safety, quality, and accountability

  • Need practical tools, not theory

  • Work in environments where mistakes cost time, money, trust, or safety

Program Outcomes

Six shifts every new supervisor — and their team — will feel within 90 days

  • Fewer Bottlenecks

New supervisors learn how to stop being the only answer and build crew ownership.

  • Clearer Execution

Supervisors learn how to give direction, feedback, and accountability messages that reduce confusion, rework, chasing, and repeated instructions.

  • Delegate without dumping

Work moves to the right people. Standards hold. Accountability sticks.

  • Stronger Business Judgment

Reads a budget. Spots waste. Talks numbers, not guesses.

  • Better line of sight from strategy to shift work

Supervisors learn how to translate company goals into simple crew-level commitments.

They already know the work. Now they need the tools to lead the crew.

Crew to Supervisor gives them the scripts, habits, and field tools to handle the pressure that comes with the title.

The Conversations Nobody Trained You For:

  • “You were late again. Let's talk about it.”
  • “You skipped the lock-out. That can't happen again.”
  • “I need you to push the deadline — and here's why.”
  • “I can't promote you yet. Here's exactly what would change my mind.”
  • “You're sober at work, right? I have to ask.”
  • “Yes, you still have to wear the harness.”
  • “Look, things are different now that I'm running the crew.”
  • “That's the second deadline we've missed. What's actually going on?”
  • “No — we can't take that on. Here's what we can do instead.”
  • “You did good work this week. Here's specifically what worked.”
  • “I made the wrong call yesterday. Here's how we're fixing it.”
  • “I know about the layoff rumour. Here's what I actually know.”
  • “You've seemed off this week. Everything okay?”
  • “I need a different answer from you, and I need it by end of day.”

The course gives you the actual words. Not theory. The sentences.

What makes this course different.

  • The Velvet Hammer Method™ Every supervisor course teaches you to be either nicer or tougher. We teach you to be both at once — warm enough to keep the relationship, honest enough to actually fix the problem. It's the only voice that survives a real crew, and it's the only voice we'll teach you in.

  • Industry-specific scripts, not generic theory Every conversation, every example, every awkward moment is from the world you actually work in. Oil and gas. Construction. Manufacturing. Trades. We are not adapting an MBA curriculum for the field. This was built for the field from line one.

  • Real people behind this course, not a chatbot When you hit a wall on a tough conversation, you reach a person. The Sage & Summit faculty — the same people who built this course — are available by email or scheduled call to talk through the situation you're actually facing. No ticket queue. No support bot. The folks behind the manual, on the other end of the line. Coming later in 2026: the Sage AI Coach, a 24/7 rehearsal partner trained on the 14 Conversations. Every learner will receive a free upgrade when it launches.

  • Built for field-first industries: oil & gas, construction, manufacturing, mining, trades, engineering, and field services.

What Changes - And When You'll Feel It

  • Week 2

The first hard conversation lands. You use the script. You stay steady. The other person does not shut down or blow up.

  • Week 4

The Bottleneck starts to break. Fewer decisions pile up on your desk. The crew starts owning more of the work.

  • Week 6

The crew notices the shift. Someone says, "You seem different." That is the point.

  • Week 8

The numbers stop feeling scary. Budgets, waste, and performance measures become part of how you lead.

  • Week 10

Your boss asks for your read. You are no longer just reporting problems. You are bringing judgement.

  • Day 90

The shift is visible. Your crew is clearer, calmer, and more accountable.

  • The Day 90 Promise

If your crew has not noticed a meaningful difference in how you lead, we refund every dollar.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does the course take?

The full program runs about 18 to 24 hours of content, broken into 15–25 minute modules. You set the pace. Most learners finish in 6 to 8 weeks, working through one or two modules a week alongside their day job.

  • I'm not in oil and gas — will this still work for me?

Yes. The examples lean into energy, manufacturing, engineering, and the trades because that's where most of our learners live. But the leadership principles, delegation, feedback, presence, accountability, work in any technical or operational environment, including the public sector and professional services.

  • Do I need a leadership background to start?

No. This is built for first-time supervisors and recently promoted technical experts. If you're new or relatively new to leading people, you're exactly who we built it for.

  • What if my company wants to enroll a whole team?

If the company would like to enrol more than one person, at the checkout they can select the number of participants, and follow the instructions to enrol everyone. Or, email the instructor, [email protected] for help.

  • How is this different from a leadership book or a generic online course?

Books give you ideas. Generic courses give you theory. Crew to Supervisor gives you the specific scripts, frameworks, and practice reps you need to lead a real crew in a real industry, where safety, quality, and budget are on the line every day.

  • What do I actually walk away with?

Clarity on how to be successful at your new job. Tools you'll use Monday morning. Scripts for hard conversations. A clearer sense of who you are as a leader. A 90-Day Growth Plan you'll actually finish. And a meaningful shift in how your team experiences you.
