The Challenge

You were promoted for being the best technician on the crew. Now you're supposed to lead one.

The work that earned you the promotion isn't the work you're being paid to do anymore. Nobody handed you a manual. The old peers don't quite know how to act around you. The boss wants results. Your team wants answers. And somewhere in there, you're supposed to figure out how to lead.

This is normal. It's also fixable.

Program Outcomes

Six shifts every new supervisor — and their team — will feel within 90 days

  • Leads the work — instead of doing it all

Stops being the bottleneck. The crew gets faster, and so do decisions.

  • Stays calm when the pressure hits

Tense moments don't blow up. Safety concerns get raised, not buried.

  • Communicates so people actually move

No more chasing, repeating, or fixing what got misheard the first time.

  • Delegates without dumping

Work moves to the right people. Standards hold. Accountability sticks.

  • Understands the business of the job

Reads a budget. Spots waste in the process. Talks numbers, not guesses.

  • Turns company goals into daily wins

The crew knows what matters this week and why their work counts.

Built for the industries that build everything else.

Every scenario, every example, every named character in this course comes from the industries below. If your crew works with their hands in high-stakes environments, this program speaks their language.

  • How long does the course take?

The full program runs about 18 to 24 hours of content, broken into 15–25 minute modules. You set the pace. Most learners finish in 8 to 12 weeks, working through one or two modules a week alongside their day job.

  • I'm not in oil and gas — will this still work for me?

Yes. The examples lean into energy, manufacturing, engineering, and the trades because that's where most of our learners live. But the leadership principles — delegation, feedback, presence, accountability — work in any technical or operational environment, including the public sector and professional services.

  • Do I need a leadership background to start?

No. This is built for first-time supervisors and recently promoted technical experts. If you're new to leading people, you're exactly who we built it for.

  • What if my company wants to enroll a whole team?

Ask about the Impact Passport — our flexible bundle for organizations that want to develop multiple leaders across multiple levels. HR teams love it because it scales without breaking the budget or the schedule.

  • How is this different from a leadership book or a generic online course?

Books give you ideas. Generic courses give you theory. Leadership Foundations gives you the specific scripts, frameworks, and practice reps you need to lead a real crew in a real industry, where safety, quality, and budget are on the line every day.

  • What do I actually walk away with?

Tools you'll use Monday morning. Scripts for hard conversations. A clearer sense of who you are as a leader. A 90-Day Growth Plan you'll actually finish. And a meaningful shift in how your team experiences you.
